SOLAR SYSTEM
The Solar System is a planetary system located in the Milky Way galaxy, comprising a star called the Sun, eight planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune), dwarf planets, moons, and other celestial objects like asteroids and comets.
Here's a brief overview of each planet in the Solar System:
Mercury: The closest planet to the Sun and the smallest planet in the Solar System. It has a very thin atmosphere and no moons.
Venus: The second planet from the Sun and the hottest planet in the Solar System due to its thick atmosphere that traps heat. It has no moons.
Earth: The third planet from the Sun and the only known planet to support life. It has one moon, which is the fifth-largest natural satellite in the Solar System.
Mars: The fourth planet from the Sun and often referred to as the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance. It has two small moons, Phobos and Deimos.
Jupiter: The largest planet in the Solar System and the fifth planet from the Sun. It has a faint ring system and at least 79 known moons, including the four largest moons known as the Galilean moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
Saturn: The second-largest planet in the Solar System and the sixth planet from the Sun. It is known for its prominent and complex ring system and has at least 82 known moons, including the largest moon, Titan.
Uranus: The seventh planet from the Sun and the third-largest planet in the Solar System. It has a faint ring system and at least 27 known moons, including the largest moon, Titania.
Neptune: The eighth planet from the Sun and the fourth-largest planet in the Solar System. It has a faint ring system and at least 14 known moons, including the largest moon, Triton, which is the only large moon in the Solar System that orbits in a retrograde direction (opposite to the planet's rotation).
In addition to these eight planets, the Solar System also has several dwarf planets, including Pluto, Ceres, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris, as well as countless asteroids, comets, and other small celestial bodies
